Residential investment platform
As product owner at IMMO, I led development of Europe’s first technology-led platform that sources, underwrites and structures single-family rental assets into large portfolios for institutional investors.
The gap
Renting demand doubled while ownership fell ~30% under high interest rates and inflation. With too few new builds, IMMO retrofits thousands of existing homes — found and evaluated through the platform.
Scale
The platform demonstrated a capital deployment rate of €350m per year (~€18m annual revenue) and evaluated over 10,000 properties across Germany, Spain and the UK.
How we executed
- Domain-driven design — I ran domain-modelling workshops with 50+ stakeholders to map the platform’s modules
- Ruthless prioritisation — fewer battles, won convincingly
- A strong product and engineering team executing one strategy
A view of the platform concept — for IP security reasons, platform screens can’t be shown. IMMO continues to be a leader in European single-family residential, with strong product and engineering foundations to take the baton ahead.
