As product owner at IMMO Investment Technologies UK Ltd, I led the development of Europe's first technology-led platform that sources, underwrites and structures SFR assets into large portfolios for investors, resulting in stabilised rental income, capital appreciation and best-in-class property management.
The platform offers a unique value proposition to property investors (our clients) to operate the entire lifecycle of property investment under a single umbrella (the residential real-estate platform). Such an offering is unique and innovative because it does not currently exist in the real estate sector, devoiding investors of a large, fragmented and untapped residential market.

Through the platform, investors can view properties that match their investment criteria providing detailed information about each property, including location, price, and potential return on investment. Overall, the platform offers a convenient and efficient way for property investors to explore and evaluate potential investments.
Addressing the large demand/supply gap
Renting demand has doubled whereas ownership has reduced by 30% owing to high-interest rates, inflation and tenants' desire for flexibility.
With not enough supply of new builds, IMMO is retrofitting thousands of existing houses and apartments through our digital technology platform.
Revenue through the platform
Capital deployment rate demonstrated by the platform was €350M per year translating to €18M of annual revenue. We evaluated over 10,000 properties across Germany, Spain and UK using the platform.
How did we execute it?
Deep understanding of the business and users using DDD - Domain Driven Design
I led domain modelling workshops with 50+ org-wide stakeholders to map out the key modules for the platform. Below is a snippet from the business modelling exercise covering all the domains under the platform.

Ruthless prioritisation
A caveat of our business model was its massive scope which often led us into over-committing and under-delivering. Learning from our previous failures, we chose fewer battles and won them convincingly.
The right Team
Led by strong product and engineering leaders, we were able to put together an effective strategy and execute it relentlessly towards generated revenue outcomes for the company.

IMMO continues to be a leader in European single-family residential and has strong foundations in product and engineering to take the baton ahead.
