PM AND A HALF

Reflect back and plan ahead

· Himanshu Gupta

Planning and organising oneself is an underrated skill. In a world of instant gratification, get-rich-quick schemes and three-month weight-loss programs, click-bait gets the attention — but the results don’t stick. They’re designed to steal your two most valuable currencies: attention and money.

Most people are overworked — slogging aimlessly, or toward a goal that isn’t truly theirs. Living weekend to weekend. TGIF and Monday blues are everyday slang nobody pauses to question.

When did you last sit down and ask yourself:

  • What games am I playing?
  • What am I trying to win at?
  • Is the game worth winning?
  • Am I playing the right games?

In a noisy world where everyone is after your attention and money, reflecting back and planning ahead is how you live consciously.
