PM and a half lifestyle

Product management is not just a role at work. It means much more than that to me and extends to other life areas as well. I apply product thinking in my day-to-day life to help me become a better version of myself.

Vision for life
My long term vision is to leave this planet a better place to live than I found it by unlocking human potential and enabling people to live their best life.

Life strategy
I can only achieve this vision if I unlock my own potential by being 1% better everyday.

Personal roadmap
My 10 year goal (2021-30) is to achieve freedom of money, time and location.

MVP mindset
Be scrappy to move fast on personal projects (such as this blog lol). Fail a lot, never stop trying. This is a skill I'm still quite poor at because of the perfectionist attitude but have improved relatively from the past.

Resilience
Sleep is my biggest enemy and early morning is the only time I can make progress on my side hustles. Not giving up is the only way to defeat the sleep monster.

People centricity
Thinking of my wife as a customer - I started experimenting with proactively thinking about my wife's needs, problems and complaints and solved them. With this new approach, I killed two birds with one stone - make my lovely wife (customer) happier and learn a key product management skill.

Prioritisation
In business, I put business and customer needs above the needs of the team or the product. Similarly in personal life, I put my family's needs above my personal needs because if my family is unhappy, I will be unhappy. And if I'm unhappy, I cannot do my duty well.

Continuous improvement
I am the product myself. The only way to excel is to have a growth mindset and trying to be 1% better every single day.

Feedback
I learn from everyone. I dont discriminate feedback on the basis of age, gender, qualification or anything else. There is so much to KNOW in this world, we have barely scratched the surface.
