Lifestyle and our environment
A good life doesn’t happen by chance. It needs to be deliberately, thoughtfully designed.
Our environment determines how we live. Genetics play perhaps 5% of a role in how we turn out; the other 95% is environment. The internal environment of the body constantly reacts to the external one. Input = output.
According to Ayurveda, a person is a microcosm — a universe within. Disorder occurs when the microcosm and the macrocosm fall out of balance, and we create that imbalance ourselves through choices that don’t fit our body, mind and soul.
The imbalances behind disease come from familiar places: poor food choices, inactivity, a disturbed circadian rhythm, poor emotional health, work-life imbalance.
By altering diet and lifestyle it is possible to heal those imbalances. That is the mission I care about: empowering people with knowledge and practical tools to live healthier, better lives.
