Consume less, apply more
How do I retain the information I consume, turn it into knowledge and apply it in real life? There is no point consuming if I’m not applying. So I went looking for solutions.
The approach
Learning happens through repetition. I needed a way to capture learnings from anything I consume and make them available when needed — and to put the most impactful ideas in front of me in my environment, improving the odds of repetition and application.
An example
I repurposed a photo frame into an “idea frame” — a slideshow of the ideas that most inspire me. “Own your morning, elevate your life” keeps nudging me to stay a morning person. I collected 100+ ideas in a note, picked 20, visualised them in Figma, exported and loaded the frame.
The system
A personal database of the most impactful learnings and resources, a few clicks away. I used Tiago Forte’s PARA method — Projects, Areas, Resources, Archive — set up simply in Apple Notes.
